A Field Guide to West Coast National Park’s Wildflower Season

South Africa’s West Coast National Park is in its annual wildflower season, when the Postberg landscape becomes a broad mosaic of daisies, bulbs and flowering coastal vegetation.

The display changes with rainfall, temperature and sunshine. Flowers are typically most open on sunny days from late morning into mid-afternoon, while weekdays can offer a quieter visit.

Postberg is open for the seasonal display through September 30. A flower-identification booklet sold at the entrance also supports conservation projects.
